and I will set a sign among them. From them I will send survivors to the nations, to Tarshish, Put, and Lud, to Meshech, Tubal, and Javan, to the coastlands far away that have not heard of my fame or seen my glory, and they shall declare my glory among the nations.


all the kings of Tyre, all the kings of Sidon, and the kings of the coastland across the sea;


I will set fire to Egypt; Pelusium shall be in great agony; Thebes shall be breached and Memphis face adversaries by day.


Then they shall know that I am the Lord, when I have set fire to Egypt, and all who help it are broken.

The five men went on, and when they came to Laish, they observed the people who were there living securely, after the manner of the Sidonians, quiet and unsuspecting, lacking nothing on earth, and possessing wealth. Furthermore, they were far from the Sidonians and had no dealings with Aram.
