The word of the Lord came to me:


Therefore thus says the Lord God: Woe to the bloody city! I will even make the pile great.


Mortal, set your face toward the Ammonites and prophesy against them.


Mortal, set your face toward Sidon, and prophesy against it,


Mortal, set your face against Pharaoh king of Egypt, and prophesy against him and against all Egypt;


And you, mortal, prophesy to the mountains of Israel and say: O mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord.


Mortal, set your face toward Gog, of the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal. Prophesy against him


Then take an iron plate and place it as an iron wall between you and the city; set your face toward it, and let it be in a state of siege, and press the siege against it. This is a sign for the house of Israel.


You shall set your face toward the siege of Jerusalem, and with your arm bared you shall prophesy against it.


O mortal, set your face toward the mountains of Israel and prophesy against them


“Now therefore hear the word of the Lord. You say, ‘Do not prophesy against Israel, and do not preach against the house of Isaac.’


If someone were to go about uttering empty falsehoods, saying, “I will preach to you of wine and strong drink,” such a one would be the preacher for this people!


“Do not preach”—thus they preach— “one should not preach of such things; disgrace will not overtake us.”


Pray also for me, so that when I speak a message may be given to me to make known with boldness the mystery of the gospel,


May my teaching drop like the rain, my speech condense like the dew, like gentle rain on grass, like showers on new growth.
