But he did not put to death the children of the murderers, according to what is written in the book of the law of Moses, where the Lord commanded, “The parents shall not be put to death for the children or the children be put to death for the parents, but all shall be put to death for their own sins.”


Let their own eyes see their destruction, and let them drink of the wrath of the Almighty.


If your children sinned against him, he delivered them into the power of their transgression.


Thus says God, the Lord, who created the heavens and stretched them out, who spread out the earth and what comes from it, who gives breath to the people upon it and spirit to those who walk in it:


For I will not continually accuse, nor will I always be angry, for then the spirits would grow faint before me, even the souls that I have made.


But all shall die for their own sins; the teeth of the one who eats sour grapes shall be set on edge.


The person who sins shall die. A child shall not suffer for the iniquity of a parent nor a parent suffer for the iniquity of a child; the righteousness of the righteous shall be their own, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be their own.


As I live, says the Lord God, this proverb shall no more be used by you in Israel.


If a man is righteous and does what is lawful and right—


When I say to the wicked, “You shall surely die,” and you give them no warning and do not speak to warn the wicked from their wicked way in order to save their lives, those wicked persons shall die for their iniquity, but their blood I will require at your hand.


If I say to the wicked, “O wicked ones, you shall surely die,” and you do not speak to warn the wicked to turn from their ways, the wicked shall die in their iniquity, but their blood I will require at your hand.


An Oracle. The word of the Lord concerning Israel: Thus says the Lord, who stretched out the heavens and founded the earth and formed the human spirit within:


They fell on their faces and said, “O God, the God of the spirits of all flesh, shall one person sin and you become angry with the whole congregation?”


“Let the Lord, the God of the spirits of all flesh, appoint someone over the congregation


For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.


But the scripture has imprisoned all things under the power of sin, so that what was promised through the faith of Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe.


“Parents shall not be put to death for their children, nor shall children be put to death for their parents; only for their own crimes may persons be put to death.


Moreover, we had human parents to discipline us, and we respected them. Should we not be even more willing to be subject to the Father of spirits and live?
