But Moses said to God, “Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the Israelites out of Egypt?”


Then Moses answered, “But look, they may not believe me or listen to me but say, ‘The Lord did not appear to you.’ ”


But Moses spoke to the Lord, “The Israelites have not listened to me; why should Pharaoh listen to me, poor speaker that I am?”


But Moses said to the Lord, “Since I am a poor speaker, why should Pharaoh listen to me?”


Then I said, “Ah, Lord God! Truly I do not know how to speak, for I am only a boy.”


For I brought you up from the land of Egypt and redeemed you from the house of slavery, and I sent before you Moses, Aaron, and Miriam.


So Moses was instructed in all the wisdom of the Egyptians and was powerful in his words and deeds.


For someone says, “His letters are weighty and strong, but his bodily presence is weak and his speech contemptible.”


Even if I am untrained in speech, I certainly am not with respect to knowledge; certainly in every way and in all things we have made this evident to you.
