Hear the plea of your servant and of your people Israel when they pray toward this place; O hear in heaven your dwelling place; hear and forgive.


then hear in heaven, and act, and judge your servants, condemning the guilty by bringing their conduct on their own heads and vindicating the righteous by rewarding them according to their righteousness.

I said, “O Lord God of heaven, the great and awesome God who keeps covenant and steadfast love with those who love him and keep his commandments,


“Now therefore, our God—the great and mighty and awesome God, keeping covenant and steadfast love—do not treat lightly all the hardship that has come upon us, upon our kings, our officials, our priests, our prophets, our ancestors, and all your people, since the time of the kings of Assyria until today.


If I sin, you watch me and do not acquit me of my iniquity.


who forgives all your iniquity, who heals all your diseases,


May the iniquity of his father be remembered before the Lord, and do not let the sin of his mother be blotted out.


But there is forgiveness with you, so that you may be revered.


who struck Egypt through their firstborn, for his steadfast love endures forever;


but overthrew Pharaoh and his army in the Red Sea, for his steadfast love endures forever;


For your name’s sake, O Lord, pardon my guilt, for it is great.


But you, O Lord, are a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness.


O Lord our God, you answered them; you were a forgiving God to them but an avenger of their wrongdoings.


Be attentive to him and listen to his voice; do not rebel against him, for he will not pardon your transgression, for my name is in him.


Keep far from a false charge, and do not kill the innocent and those in the right, for I will not acquit the guilty.


And he said, “I will make all my goodness pass before you and will proclaim before you the name, ‘The Lord,’ and I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious and will show mercy on whom I will show mercy.


He said, “If now I have found favor in your sight, my Lord, I pray, let my Lord go with us. Although this is a stiff-necked people, pardon our iniquity and our sin, and take us for your inheritance.”


Declare and present your case; take counsel together! Who told this long ago? Who declared it of old? Was it not I, the Lord? There is no other god besides me, a righteous God and a Savior; there is no one besides me.


For I am with you, says the Lord, to save you; I will make an end of all the nations among which I scattered you, but of you I will not make an end. I will chastise you in just measure, and I will by no means leave you unpunished.


You show steadfast love to the thousandth generation but repay the guilt of parents into the laps of their children after them, O great and mighty God whose name is the Lord of hosts,


but let those who boast boast in this, that they understand and know me, that I am the Lord; I act with steadfast love, justice, and righteousness in the earth, for in these things I delight, says the Lord.


I prayed to the Lord my God and made confession, saying, “Ah, Lord, great and awesome God, keeping covenant and steadfast love with those who love you and keep your commandments,


To the Lord our God belong mercy and forgiveness, but we have rebelled against him


Can I tolerate wicked scales and a bag of dishonest weights?


Who is a God like you, pardoning iniquity and passing over the transgression of the remnant of his possession? He does not retain his anger forever because he delights in showing steadfast love.


Who can stand before his indignation? Who can endure the heat of his anger? His wrath is poured out like fire, and by him the rocks are broken in pieces.


Therefore I tell you, people will be forgiven for every sin and blasphemy, but blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven.


And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.


When they could not pay, he canceled the debts for both of them. Now which of them will love him more?”


Then he said to her, “Your sins are forgiven.”


Let it be known to you therefore, brothers and sisters, that through this man forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you;


God exalted him at his right hand as Leader and Savior that he might give repentance to Israel and forgiveness of sins.


In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace


Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ has forgiven you.


for the day of vengeance and recompense, for the time when their foot shall slip? Because the day of their calamity is at hand; their doom comes swiftly.

Know, therefore, that the Lord your God is God, the faithful God who maintains covenant loyalty with those who love him and keep his commandments, to a thousand generations,


for indeed our God is a consuming fire.


But Joshua said to the people, “You cannot serve the Lord, for he is a holy God. He is a jealous God; he will not forgive your transgressions or your sins.


If we confess our sins, he who is faithful and just will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.


and anyone whose name was not found written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire.


But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the polluted, the murderers, the sexually immoral, the sorcerers, the idolaters, and all liars, their place will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death.”
