Then Moses and Aaron went and assembled all the elders of the Israelites.


The people believed, and when they heard that the Lord had given heed to the Israelites and that he had seen their misery, they bowed down and worshiped.


“so that they may believe that the Lord, the God of their ancestors, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has appeared to you.”


Then the chief priests and the elders of the people gathered in the courtyard of the high priest, who was called Caiaphas,


“Blessed be the Lord God of Israel, for he has looked favorably on his people and redeemed them.


They will crush you to the ground, you and your children within you, and they will not leave within you one stone upon another, because you did not recognize the time of your visitation from God.”


this they did, sending it to the elders by Barnabas and Saul.


Simeon has related how God first looked favorably on the gentiles, to take from among them a people for his name.


From Miletus he sent a message to Ephesus, asking the elders of the church to meet him.
