Exodus 29:28 - New Revised Standard Version Updated Edition 2021

28 These things shall be a perpetual ordinance for Aaron and his sons from the Israelites, for this is an offering, and it shall be an offering by the Israelites from their sacrifice of offerings of well-being, their offering to the Lord.

You shall consecrate the breast that was raised as an elevation offering and the thigh that was lifted up as an offering from the ram of ordination, from that which belonged to Aaron and his sons.


“The sacred vestments of Aaron shall be passed on to his sons after him; they shall be anointed in them and ordained in them.


“If the offering is a sacrifice of well-being, if you offer an animal from the herd, whether male or female, you shall offer one without blemish before the Lord.


Throughout your generations you shall give to the Lord a donation from the first of your batch of dough.


because I have given to the Levites as their portion the tithe of the Israelites, which they set apart as an offering to the Lord. Therefore I have said of them that they shall have no allotment among the Israelites.”


Out of all the gifts to you, you shall set apart every offering due to the Lord; the best of all of them is the part to be consecrated.


The Lord spoke to Aaron, “I have given you charge of the offerings made to me, all the holy gifts of the Israelites; I have given them to you and your sons as a priestly portion due you in perpetuity.


Moses stripped Aaron of his vestments and put them on his son Eleazar, and Aaron died there on the top of the mountain. Moses and Eleazar came down from the mountain.


Take it from their half and give it to Eleazar the priest as an offering to the Lord.


Moses gave the tribute, the offering for the Lord, to Eleazar the priest, as the Lord had commanded Moses.


The sacred donations of all are their own; whatever anyone gives to the priest shall be his.”


Among all the sacred donations of the Israelites, every gift that they bring to the priest shall be his.


Then the priest shall elevate them as an elevation offering before the Lord; they are a holy portion for the priest, together with the breast that is elevated and the thigh that is offered. After that the nazirites may drink wine.


“This shall be the priests’ due from the people, from those offering a sacrifice, whether an ox or a sheep: they shall give to the priest the shoulder, the two jowls, and the stomach.
