“Then bring near to you your brother Aaron and his sons with him, from among the Israelites, to serve me as priests—Aaron and Aaron’s sons: Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar.


These are the vestments that they shall make: a breastpiece, an ephod, a robe, a checkered tunic, a turban, and a sash. When they make these sacred vestments for your brother Aaron and his sons to serve me as priests,


and you shall place all these on the palms of Aaron and on the palms of his sons and raise them as an elevation offering before the Lord.


“Thus you shall do to Aaron and to his sons, just as I have commanded you; through seven days you shall ordain them.


You shall take the anointing oil and pour it on his head and anoint him.

these are the names of the sons of Aaron, the anointed priests, whom he ordained to serve as priests.


He whom God has sent speaks the words of God, for he gives the Spirit without measure.


And one does not presume to take this honor but takes it only when called by God, just as Aaron was.


For the law appoints as high priests humans, who are subject to weakness, but the word of the oath, which came later than the law, appoints a Son who has been made perfect forever.


But you have been anointed by the Holy One, and all of you have knowledge.


As for you, the anointing that you received from him abides in you, so you do not need anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about all things and is true and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, abide in him.
