Abraham breathed his last and died in a good old age, old and full of years, and was gathered to his people.


And Isaac breathed his last; he died and was gathered to his people, old and full of days, and his sons Esau and Jacob buried him.


When David was old and full of days, he made his son Solomon king over Israel.


Their bull breeds without fail; their cow calves and never miscarries.


And Job died, old and full of days.


You shall come to your grave in ripe old age, as a shock of grain comes up to the threshing floor in its season.


By his blessing they multiply greatly, and he does not let their cattle decrease.

No more shall there be in it an infant who lives but a few days or an old person who does not live out a lifetime, for one who dies at a hundred years will be considered a youth, and one who falls short of a hundred will be considered accursed.


Give them, O Lord— what will you give? Give them a miscarrying womb and dry breasts.


“Blessed shall be the fruit of your womb, the fruit of your ground, and the fruit of your livestock, both the increase of your cattle and the issue of your flock.


Keep his statutes and his commandments, which I am commanding you today for your own well-being and that of your descendants after you, so that you may long remain in the land that the Lord your God is giving you for all time.”


You shall be the most blessed of peoples, with neither sterility nor barrenness among you or your livestock.
