Your servant thought, ‘The word of my lord the king will set me at rest,’ for my lord the king is like the angel of God, discerning good and evil. The Lord your God be with you!”


Moses said to his father-in-law, “Because the people come to me to inquire of God.


Teach them the statutes and instructions and make known to them the way they are to go and the things they are to do.


So Moses listened to his father-in-law and did all that he had said.


and said to Moses, “You speak to us, and we will listen, but do not let God speak to us, lest we die.”


He said, “I will be with you, and this shall be the sign for you that it is I who sent you: when you have brought the people out of Egypt, you shall serve God on this mountain.”


Now go, and I will be with your mouth and teach you what you are to speak.”


He indeed shall speak for you to the people; he shall serve as a mouth for you, and you shall serve as God for him.


Give instruction to the wise, and they will become wiser still; teach the righteous, and they will gain in learning.


Moses brought their case before the Lord.


and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”


“When you go out to war against your enemies and see horses and chariots, an army larger than your own, do not fear them, for the Lord your God is with you, who brought you up from the land of Egypt.


(At that time I was standing between the Lord and you to declare to you the word of the Lord, for you were afraid because of the fire and did not go up the mountain.) And he said:


I hereby command you: Be strong and courageous; do not be frightened or dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
