So he brought his people out with joy, his chosen ones with singing.


Remember the wonderful works he has done, his miracles and the judgments he has uttered,


Who can utter the mighty doings of the Lord or declare all his praise?


My soul makes its boast in the Lord; let the humble hear and be glad.


We have heard with our ears, O God; our ancestors have told us what deeds you performed in their days, in the days of old:


We will not hide them from their children; we will tell to the coming generation the glorious deeds of the Lord and his might and the wonders that he has done.


The priest of Midian had seven daughters. They came to draw water and filled the troughs to water their father’s flock.


When they returned to their father Reuel, he said, “How is it that you have come back so soon today?”


Moses agreed to stay with the man, and he gave Moses his daughter Zipporah in marriage.


Moses was keeping the flock of his father-in-law Jethro, the priest of Midian; he led his flock beyond the wilderness and came to Mount Horeb, the mountain of God.


Moses went back to his father-in-law Jethro and said to him, “Please let me go back to my own people in Egypt and see whether they are still living.” And Jethro said to Moses, “Go in peace.”


Say therefore to the Israelites: I am the Lord, and I will free you from the burdens of the Egyptians and deliver you from slavery to them. I will redeem you with an outstretched arm and with great acts of judgment.


And this city shall be to me a name of joy, a praise, and a glory before all the nations of the earth who shall hear of all the good that I do for them; they shall fear and tremble because of all the good and all the prosperity I provide for it.


Thus says the Lord of hosts: In those days ten men from nations of every language shall take hold of a Jew, grasping his garment and saying, ‘Let us go with you, for we have heard that God is with you.’ ”


Moses said to Hobab son of Reuel the Midianite, Moses’s father-in-law, “We are setting out for the place of which the Lord said, ‘I will give it to you’; come with us, and we will treat you well, for the Lord has promised good to Israel.”


When they arrived, they called the church together and related all that God had done with them and how he had opened a door of faith for the gentiles.


The whole assembly kept silence and listened to Barnabas and Paul as they told of all the signs and wonders that God had done through them among the gentiles.


For I will not be so bold as to speak of anything except what Christ has accomplished through me to win obedience from the gentiles, by word and deed,


For we have heard how the Lord dried up the water of the Red Sea before you when you came out of Egypt and what you did to the two kings of the Amorites who were beyond the Jordan, to Sihon and Og, whom you utterly destroyed.


They said to him, “Your servants have come from a very far country because of the name of the Lord your God, for we have heard a report of him, of all that he did in Egypt


The descendants of Hobab the Kenite, Moses’s father-in-law, went up with the people of Judah from the city of palms into the wilderness of Judah, which lies in the Negeb near Arad. Then they went and settled with the Amalekites.


Now Heber the Kenite had separated from the other Kenites, that is, the descendants of Hobab the father-in-law of Moses, and had encamped as far away as Elon-bezaanannim, which is near Kedesh.
