But they did not listen to Moses; some left part of it until morning, and it became wormy and rotten. And Moses was angry with them.


On the sixth day they gathered twice as much food, two omers apiece. When all the leaders of the congregation came and told Moses,


Remember your creator in the days of your youth, before the days of trouble come and the years draw near when you will say, “I have no pleasure in them”;

For he says, “At an acceptable time I have listened to you, and on a day of salvation I have helped you.” Look, now is the acceptable time; look, now is the day of salvation!
