Then Josiah contributed to the people, as Passover offerings for all who were present, lambs and kids from the flock to the number of thirty thousand and three thousand bulls; these were from the king’s possessions.


“This month shall mark for you the beginning of months; it shall be the first month of the year for you.


Then Moses called all the elders of Israel and said to them, “Go, select lambs for your families, and slaughter the Passover lamb.


If a household is too small for a whole lamb, it shall join its closest neighbor in obtaining one; the lamb shall be divided in proportion to the number of people who eat of it.


You shall keep it until the fourteenth day of this month; then the whole assembled congregation of Israel shall slaughter it at twilight.


Then the Lord said to Moses, “Why do you cry out to me? Tell the Israelites to go forward.


and said to Moses, “You speak to us, and we will listen, but do not let God speak to us, lest we die.”


Aaron spoke all the words that the Lord had spoken to Moses and performed the signs in the sight of the people.


Say therefore to the Israelites: I am the Lord, and I will free you from the burdens of the Egyptians and deliver you from slavery to them. I will redeem you with an outstretched arm and with great acts of judgment.


In the twenty-fifth year of our exile, at the beginning of the year, on the tenth day of the month, in the fourteenth year after the city was struck down, on that very day, the hand of the Lord was upon me, and he brought me there.

The next day he saw Jesus coming toward him and declared, “Here is the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!


and as he watched Jesus walk by he exclaimed, “Look, here is the Lamb of God!”


Six days before the Passover Jesus came to Bethany, the home of Lazarus, whom he had raised from the dead.


The next day the great crowd that had come to the festival heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem.


Clean out the old yeast so that you may be a new batch of dough, as you really are unleavened. For our paschal lamb, Christ, has been sacrificed.

So Samuel took a sucking lamb and offered it as a whole burnt offering to the Lord; Samuel cried out to the Lord for Israel, and the Lord answered him.
