He said, “Do not lay your hand on the boy or do anything to him, for now I know that you fear God, since you have not withheld your son, your only son, from me.”


and keep the charge of the Lord your God, walking in his ways and keeping his statutes, his commandments, his ordinances, and his testimonies, as it is written in the law of Moses, so that you may prosper in all that you do and wherever you turn.


And he said to humankind, ‘Truly, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding.’ ”


The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; all those who practice it have a good understanding. His praise endures forever.


He fulfills the desire of all who fear him; he also hears their cry and saves them.


but the Lord takes pleasure in those who fear him, in those who hope in his steadfast love.


The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction.


The fear of the Lord is life indeed; filled with it one rests secure and suffers no harm.


Do not let your heart envy sinners, but always continue in the fear of the Lord.


I searched with my mind how to cheer my body with wine—my mind still guiding me with wisdom—and how to lay hold on folly, until I might see what was good for mortals to do under heaven during the few days of their life.


I know that whatever God does endures forever; nothing can be added to it nor anything taken from it; God has done this so that all should stand in awe before him.


With many dreams come vanities and a multitude of words, but fear God.


For who knows what is good for mortals while they live the few days of their vain life, which they pass like a shadow? For who can tell them what will be after them under the sun?


It is good that you should take hold of the one without letting go of the other, for the one who fears God shall succeed with both.


Though sinners do evil a hundred times and prolong their lives, yet I know that it will be well with those who fear God, because they stand in fear before him,


Whoever obeys a command will meet no harm, and the wise mind will know the time and way.


He has told you, O mortal, what is good, and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice and to love kindness and to walk humbly with your God?


indeed, his mercy is for those who fear him from generation to generation.


“So now, O Israel, what does the Lord your God require of you? Only to fear the Lord your God, to walk in all his ways, to love him, to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul,


You shall fear the Lord your God; him you shall serve; to him you shall hold fast; and by his name you shall swear.


how you once stood before the Lord your God at Horeb, when the Lord said to me, ‘Assemble the people for me, and I will let them hear my words, so that they may learn to fear me as long as they live on the earth and may teach their children so’;


You must neither add anything to what I command you nor take away anything from it, but keep the commandments of the Lord your God with which I am charging you.


so that you and your children and your children’s children may fear the Lord your God all the days of your life and keep all his decrees and his commandments that I am commanding you, so that your days may be long.


Honor everyone. Love the family of believers. Fear God. Honor the emperor.


And from the throne came a voice saying, “Praise our God, all you his servants and all who fear him, small and great.”


Only fear the Lord and serve him faithfully with all your heart, for consider what great things he has done for you.
