They shall eat up your harvest and your food; they shall eat up your sons and your daughters; they shall eat up your flocks and your herds; they shall eat up your vines and your fig trees; they shall destroy with the sword your fortified cities in which you trust.


Judah and the land of Israel traded with you; they exchanged for your merchandise wheat from Minnith, millet, honey, oil, and balm.


and the earth shall answer the grain, the wine, and the oil, and they shall answer Jezreel,


She did not know that it was I who gave her the grain, the wine, and the oil and who lavished upon her silver and gold that they used for Baal.

And they came to the Wadi Eshcol and cut down from there a branch with a single cluster of grapes, and they carried it on a pole between two of them. They also brought some pomegranates and figs.


So they gathered them up, and from the fragments of the five barley loaves, left by those who had eaten, they filled twelve baskets.


“There is a boy here who has five barley loaves and two fish. But what are they among so many people?”


He set him atop the heights of the land and fed him with produce of the field; he nursed him with honey from the crags, with oil from flinty rock,


curds from the herd, and milk from the flock, with fat of lambs and rams, Bashan bulls and goats, together with the choicest wheat— you drank fine wine from the blood of grapes.


Hear therefore, O Israel, and observe them diligently, so that it may go well with you and so that you may multiply greatly in a land flowing with milk and honey, as the Lord, the God of your ancestors, has promised you.


For the Lord your God is bringing you into a good land, a land with flowing streams, with springs and underground waters welling up in valleys and hills,


a land where you may eat bread without scarcity, where you will lack nothing, a land whose stones are iron and from whose hills you may mine copper.
