Teach them the statutes and instructions and make known to them the way they are to go and the things they are to do.


The people all answered as one, “Everything that the Lord has spoken we will do.” Moses reported the words of the people to the Lord.


When all the people witnessed the thunder and lightning, the sound of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking, they were afraid and trembled and stood at a distance


and said to Moses, “You speak to us, and we will listen, but do not let God speak to us, lest we die.”


Moses went and told the people all the words of the Lord and all the ordinances, and all the people answered with one voice and said, “All the words that the Lord has spoken we will do.”


They in their turn said to Jeremiah, “May the Lord be a true and faithful witness against us if we do not act according to everything that the Lord your God sends us through you.


Whether it is good or bad, we will obey the voice of the Lord our God to whom we are sending you, in order that it may go well with us when we obey the voice of the Lord our God.”


For who is there of all flesh that has heard the voice of the living God speaking out of the fire, as we have, and lived?


“The Lord heard your words when you spoke to me, and the Lord said to me, ‘I have heard the words of this people, which they have spoken to you; they are right in all that they have spoken.


and the sound of a trumpet, and a voice whose words made the hearers beg that not another word be spoken to them.


The people said to Joshua, “The Lord our God we will serve, and him we will obey.”
