And as for the towns that you shall give from the possession of the Israelites, from the larger tribes you shall take many, and from the smaller tribes you shall take few; each, in proportion to the inheritance that it obtains, shall give of its towns to the Levites.”


“Do not put the Lord your God to the test, as you tested him at Massah.


He fed you in the wilderness with manna that your ancestors did not know, to humble you and to test you and in the end to do you good.


“At Taberah also, and at Massah, and at Kibroth-hattaavah, you provoked the Lord to wrath.


For it was fitting that we should have such a high priest, holy, blameless, undefiled, separated from sinners, and exalted above the heavens.

When Saul inquired of the Lord, the Lord did not answer him, not by dreams or by Urim or by prophets.
