The Lord blessed the latter days of Job more than his beginning, and he had fourteen thousand sheep, six thousand camels, a thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand donkeys.


They have distributed freely; they have given to the poor; their righteousness endures forever; their horn is exalted in honor.


Those who despise their neighbors are sinners, but happy are those who are kind to the poor.


Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the Lord and will be repaid in full.


But those who are noble plan noble things, and by noble things they stand.


“When you reap the harvest of your land, you shall not reap to the very edges of your field or gather the gleanings of your harvest; you shall leave them for the poor and for the alien: I am the Lord your God.”


Instead, love your enemies, do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return. Your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Most High, for he himself is kind to the ungrateful and the wicked.
