I will judge you as women who commit adultery and shed blood are judged and bring blood upon you in wrath and jealousy.


“If a man commits adultery with the wife of his neighbor, both the adulterer and the adulteress shall be put to death.

God will judge those outside. “Drive out the wicked person from among you.”

But those prophets or those who divine by dreams shall be put to death for having spoken treason against the Lord your God who brought you out of the land of Egypt and redeemed you from the house of slavery, to turn you from the way in which the Lord your God commanded you to walk. So you shall purge the evil from your midst.


The hands of the witnesses shall be the first raised against the person to execute the death penalty and afterward the hands of all the people. So you shall purge the evil from your midst.


But if you are not satisfied with her, you shall let her go free and certainly not sell her for money. You must not treat her as a slave, since you have dishonored her.


“If there is a young woman, a virgin already engaged to be married, and a man meets her in the town and lies with her,


“But if the man meets the engaged woman in the open country and the man seizes her and lies with her, then only the man who lay with her shall die.
