“As for the offerings that you made in the towns of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem, you and your ancestors, your kings and your officials, and the people of the land, did not the Lord remember them? Did it not come into his mind?


But they do not consider that I remember all their wickedness. Now their deeds surround them; they are before my face.


Though they offer choice sacrifices, though they eat flesh, the Lord does not accept them. Now he will remember their iniquity and punish their sins; they shall return to Egypt.


They have deeply corrupted themselves as in the days of Gibeah; he will remember their iniquity; he will punish their sins.


The Lord God has sworn by his holiness: The time is surely coming upon you when they shall take you away with hooks, even the last of you with fishhooks.


The Lord God has sworn by himself (says the Lord, the God of hosts): I abhor the pride of Jacob and hate his strongholds, and I will deliver up the city and all that is in it.


a light for revelation to the gentiles and for glory to your people Israel.”
