He said to me, “Daniel, greatly beloved, pay attention to the words that I am going to speak to you. Stand on your feet, for I have now been sent to you.” So while he was speaking this word to me, I stood up trembling.


He said to me: “O mortal, stand up on your feet, and I will speak with you.”


I am grateful to Christ Jesus our Lord, who has strengthened me, because he considered me faithful and appointed me to his service,


for I did not receive it from a human source, nor was I taught it, but I received it through a revelation of Jesus Christ.


to be a minister of Christ Jesus to the gentiles in the priestly service of the gospel of God, so that the offering of the gentiles may be acceptable, sanctified by the Holy Spirit.


I became its minister according to God’s commission that was given to me for you, to make the word of God fully known,


provided that you continue securely established and steadfast in the faith, without shifting from the hope promised by the gospel that you heard, which has been proclaimed to every creature under heaven. I, Paul, became a minister of this gospel.


I went up in response to a revelation. Then I laid before them (though only in a private meeting with the acknowledged leaders) the gospel that I proclaim among the gentiles, in order to make sure that I was not running, or had not run, in vain.


That night the Lord stood near him and said, “Keep up your courage! For just as you have testified for me in Jerusalem, so you must bear witness also in Rome.”


As for you, be sober in everything, endure suffering, do the work of an evangelist, carry out your ministry fully.


If you put these instructions before the brothers and sisters, you will be a good servant of Christ Jesus, nourished on the words of the faith and of the sound teaching that you have followed.


and sent Timothy, our brother and God’s coworker in the gospel of Christ, to strengthen and encourage you for the sake of your faith,


This you learned from Epaphras, our beloved fellow servant. He is a faithful minister of Christ on our behalf,


All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and has given us the ministry of reconciliation;


Therefore, since it is by God’s mercy that we are engaged in this ministry, we do not lose heart.


through whom we have received grace and apostleship to bring about the obedience of faith among all the gentiles for the sake of his name,


I asked, ‘What am I to do, Lord?’ The Lord said to me, ‘Get up and go to Damascus; there you will be told everything that has been assigned to you to do.’


After greeting them, he related one by one the things that God had done among the gentiles through his ministry.


But I do not count my life of any value to myself, if only I may finish my course and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the good news of God’s grace.


while we, for our part, will devote ourselves to prayer and to serving the word.”


to take the place in this ministry and apostleship from which Judas turned aside to go to his own place.”


for he was numbered among us and was allotted his share in this ministry.”


just as they were handed on to us by those who from the beginning were eyewitnesses and servants of the word,


I asked, ‘Who are you, Lord?’ The Lord answered, ‘I am Jesus whom you are persecuting.
