Then the priests and the Levites stood up and blessed the people, and their voice was heard; their prayer came to his holy dwelling in heaven.


“If someone sins against a neighbor and is required to take an oath and comes and swears before your altar in this house,


then hear from heaven your dwelling place their prayer and their pleas, maintain their cause, and forgive your people who have sinned against you.


To you I lift up my eyes, O you who are enthroned in the heavens!


Never be rash with your mouth nor let your heart be quick to utter a word before God, for God is in heaven and you upon earth; therefore let your words be few.


For thus the Lord said to me: “I will quietly look from my dwelling like clear heat in sunshine, like a cloud of dew in the heat of harvest.”


I alone am the one who blots out your transgressions for my own sake, and I will not remember your sins.


I have swept away your transgressions like a cloud and your sins like mist; return to me, for I have redeemed you.


For thus says the high and lofty one who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: I dwell in the high and holy place and also with those who are contrite and humble in spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble and to revive the heart of the contrite.


O Lord, hear; O Lord, forgive; O Lord, listen and act and do not delay! For your own sake, O my God, because your city and your people bear your name!”


Who is a God like you, pardoning iniquity and passing over the transgression of the remnant of his possession? He does not retain his anger forever because he delights in showing steadfast love.


And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.


“Pray, then, in this way: Our Father in heaven, may your name be revered as holy.
