When they called for the king, there came out to them Eliakim son of Hilkiah, who was in charge of the palace, and Shebnah the secretary, and Joah son of Asaph, the recorder.


When the rule of Rehoboam was established and he grew strong, he abandoned the law of the Lord, he and all Israel with him.

These are the statutes and ordinances and laws that the Lord established between himself and the Israelites on Mount Sinai through Moses.


Aaron and his sons did all the things that the Lord had commanded through Moses.


When they had finished everything required by the law of the Lord, they returned to Galilee, to their own town of Nazareth.


This book of the law shall not depart out of your mouth; you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to act in accordance with all that is written in it. For then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall be successful.
