Even after this event Jeroboam did not turn from his evil way but made priests for the high places again from among all the people; any who wanted to be priests he consecrated for the high places.

For consider: What! If you despise the rod, will it not happen? says the Lord God.


I will return again to my place until they acknowledge their guilt and seek my face. In their distress they will beg my favor:
