I desire, then, that in every place the men should pray, lifting up holy hands without anger or argument,


They forbid marriage and abstain from certain foods, which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth.


But refuse to put younger widows on the list, for when their sensual desires alienate them from Christ, they want to marry,


Let all who are under the yoke of slavery regard their masters as worthy of all honor, so that the name of God and the teaching may not be blasphemed.


to be self-controlled, chaste, good managers of the household, kind, submissive to their husbands, so that the word of God may not be discredited.


and sound speech that cannot be censured; then any opponent will be put to shame, having nothing evil to say of us.


Let marriage be held in honor by all, and let the marriage bed be kept undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers.
