If that person refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church, and if the offender refuses to listen even to the church, let such a one be to you as a gentile and a tax collector.


But when the Jews saw the crowds, they were filled with jealousy, and blaspheming, they contradicted what was spoken by Paul.


Some of the crowd gave instructions to Alexander, whom the Jews had pushed forward. And Alexander motioned for silence and tried to make a defense before the people.


But when we are judged by the Lord, we are disciplined so that we may not be condemned along with the world.


We are ready to punish every disobedience when your obedience is complete.


So I write these things while I am away from you, so that when I come I may not have to be severe in using the authority that the Lord has given me for building up and not for tearing down.


Do not regard them as enemies, but admonish them as brothers and sisters.


For some have already turned away to follow Satan.


Remind them of this, and warn them before the Lord that they are to avoid wrangling over words, which does no good but only ruins those who are listening.


and their talk will spread like gangrene. Among them are Hymenaeus and Philetus,


For people will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy,


And you have forgotten the exhortation that addresses you as children— “My child, do not regard lightly the discipline of the Lord or lose heart when you are punished by him,


And I saw a beast rising out of the sea, with ten horns and seven heads, and on its horns were ten diadems, and on its heads were blasphemous names.


I reprove and discipline those whom I love. Be earnest, therefore, and repent.
