But he said to her, “You speak as any foolish woman would speak. Shall we receive good from God and not receive evil?” In all this Job did not sin with his lips.


But these people slander whatever they do not understand, and they are destroyed by those things that, like irrational animals, they know by instinct.


so as to live for the rest of your time in the flesh no longer by human desires but by the will of God.


even though I was formerly a blasphemer, a persecutor, and a man of violence. But I received mercy because I had acted ignorantly in unbelief,


The upright see it and are glad, and all wickedness stops its mouth.


For we ourselves were once foolish, disobedient, led astray, slaves to various passions and pleasures, passing our days in malice and envy, despicable, hating one another.


You foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you? It was before your eyes that Jesus Christ was publicly exhibited as crucified!


Five of them were foolish, and five were wise.


The boastful will not stand before your eyes; you hate all evildoers.


So the poor have hope, and injustice shuts its mouth.


Do you thus repay the Lord, O foolish and senseless people? Is not he your father who created you, who made you and established you?


yet do it with gentleness and respect. Maintain a good conscience so that, when you are maligned, those who abuse you for your good conduct in Christ may be put to shame.
