But some of you, thinking that I am not coming to you, have become arrogant.


Your boasting is not a good thing. Do you not know that a little yeast leavens all of the dough?


I wish you would put up with me in a little foolishness. Yes, do put up with me!


For we rejoice when we are weak but you are strong. This is what we pray for, that you may be restored.


For if those who are nothing think they are something, they deceive themselves.


Only, live your life in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that, whether I come and see you or am absent and hear about you, I will know that you are standing firm in one spirit, striving side by side with one mind for the faith of the gospel


Therefore, my beloved, just as you have always obeyed me, not only in my presence but much more now in my absence, work on your own salvation with fear and trembling,


For you say, ‘I am rich, I have prospered, and I need nothing.’ You do not realize that you are wretched, pitiable, poor, blind, and naked.


you have made them a kingdom and priests serving our God, and they will reign on earth.”
