The wicked are overthrown by their evildoing, but the righteous find a refuge in their integrity.


Again he said to them, “I am going away, and you will search for me, but you will die in your sin. Where I am going, you cannot come.”


I told you that you would die in your sins, for you will die in your sins unless you believe that I am he.”


For the law brings wrath, but where there is no law, neither is there transgression.


But the free gift is not like the trespass. For if the many died through the one man’s trespass, much more surely have the grace of God and the gift in the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, abounded for the many.


If, because of the one man’s trespass, death reigned through that one, much more surely will those who receive the abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ.


But law came in, so that the trespass might increase, but where sin increased, grace abounded all the more,


For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.


And just as it is appointed for mortals to die once and after that the judgment,
