the oracle of one who hears the words of God and knows the knowledge of the Most High, who sees the vision of the Almighty, who falls down but with eyes uncovered:


“Whoever listens to you listens to me, and whoever rejects you rejects me, and whoever rejects me rejects the one who sent me.”


For by the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think of yourself more highly than you ought to think but to think with sober judgment, each according to the measure of faith that God has assigned.


Let two or three prophets speak, and let the others weigh what is said.


Or did the word of God originate with you? Or are you the only ones it has reached?


Anyone who does not recognize this is not to be recognized.


Those who are spiritual discern all things, and they are themselves subject to no one else’s scrutiny.


And so, brothers and sisters, I could not speak to you as spiritual people but rather as fleshly, as infants in Christ.


Now concerning virgins, I have no command of the Lord, but I give my opinion as one who by the Lord’s mercy is trustworthy.


But in my opinion she is more blessed if she remains as she is. And I think that I, too, have the Spirit of God.


Anyone who claims to know something does not yet have the necessary knowledge,


We do not dare to classify or compare ourselves with some of those who commend themselves. But when they measure themselves by one another and compare themselves with one another, they do not show good sense.


Look at what is before your eyes. If you are confident that you belong to Christ, remind yourself of this, that just as you belong to Christ, so also do we.


For if someone comes and proclaims another Jesus than the one we proclaimed, or if you receive a different spirit from the one you received, or a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it readily enough.


If you sow to your own flesh, you will reap corruption from the flesh, but if you sow to the Spirit, you will reap eternal life from the Spirit.


that you should remember the words spoken in the past by the holy prophets and the commandment of the Lord and Savior spoken through your apostles.


We are from God. Whoever knows God listens to us, and whoever is not from God does not listen to us. From this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error.


But you, beloved, must remember the words previously spoken by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ,
