Like newborn infants, long for the pure, spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow into salvation—


For your obedience is known to all; therefore, I rejoice over you, but I want you to be wise in what is good and guileless in what is evil.


When I was a child, I spoke like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became an adult, I put an end to childish ways.


and said, “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.


Yet among the mature we do speak wisdom, though it is not a wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age, who are being destroyed.


But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.


And this is my prayer, that your love may overflow more and more with knowledge and full insight


Truly I tell you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will never enter it.”


Let those of us, then, who are mature think this way, and if you think differently about anything, this, too, God will reveal to you.


At that time Jesus said, “I thank you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and the intelligent and have revealed them to infants;


His delight shall be in the fear of the Lord. He shall not judge by what his eyes see or decide by what his ears hear,


I have more understanding than all my teachers, for your decrees are my meditation.


He answered, “Have you not read that the one who made them at the beginning ‘made them male and female,’


“For my people are foolish; they do not know me; they are stupid children; they have no understanding. They are skilled in doing evil but do not know how to do good.”


but Jesus said, “Let the children come to me, and do not stop them, for it is to such as these that the kingdom of heaven belongs.”

I do not want you to be unaware, brothers and sisters, that I have often intended to come to you (but thus far have been prevented), in order that I may reap some harvest among you, as I have among the rest of the gentiles.


nevertheless, in church I would rather speak five words with my mind, in order to instruct others also, than ten thousand words in a tongue.


until all of us come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to maturity, to the measure of the full stature of Christ.


So in the lowest parts of the space behind the wall, in open places, I stationed the people according to their families, with their swords, their spears, and their bows.
