and keep the charge of the Lord your God, walking in his ways and keeping his statutes, his commandments, his ordinances, and his testimonies, as it is written in the law of Moses, so that you may prosper in all that you do and wherever you turn.


Take heed, now, for the Lord has chosen you to build a house as the sanctuary; be strong, and act.”


David said further to his son Solomon, “Be strong and of good courage, and act. Do not be afraid or dismayed, for the Lord God, my God, is with you. He will not fail you or forsake you, until all the work for the service of the house of the Lord is finished.


I will establish his kingdom forever, if he continues resolute in keeping my commandments and my ordinances, as he is today.’


He built fortified cities in Judah while the land was quiet. He had no war in those years, for the Lord gave him rest.


They rose early in the morning and went out into the wilderness of Tekoa, and as they went out Jehoshaphat stood and said, “Listen to me, O Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem! Believe in the Lord your God and you will be established; believe his prophets and you will succeed.”


He set himself to seek God in the days of Zechariah, who instructed him in the fear of God, and as long as he sought the Lord, God made him prosper.


“Be strong and of good courage. Do not be afraid or dismayed before the king of Assyria and all the horde that is with him, for there is one greater with us than with him.


They are like trees planted by streams of water, which yield their fruit in its season, and their leaves do not wither. In all that they do, they prosper.


Then I shall not be put to shame, having my eyes fixed on all your commandments.


Give the king your justice, O God, and your righteousness to a king’s son.


Yet now take courage, O Zerubbabel, says the Lord; take courage, O Joshua, son of Jehozadak, the high priest; take courage, all you people of the land, says the Lord; work, for I am with you, says the Lord of hosts,


“Thus says the Lord of hosts: Let your hands be strong—you who have recently been hearing these words from the mouths of the prophets who were present when the foundation was laid for the rebuilding of the temple, the house of the Lord of hosts.


But Jesus answered him, “Let it be so now, for it is proper for us in this way to fulfill all righteousness.” Then he consented.


When he had removed him, he made David their king. In his testimony about him he said, ‘I have found David, son of Jesse, to be a man after my heart, who will carry out all my wishes.’


Keep alert; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong.


Bear one another’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.


Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his power;


You then, my child, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus,


If you really fulfill the royal law according to the scripture, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself,” you do well.


Whoever rebels against your orders and disobeys your words, whatever you command, shall be put to death. Only be strong and courageous.”
