who shows no partiality to nobles, nor regards the rich more than the poor, for they are all the work of his hands?

Those of low estate are but a breath, those of high estate are a delusion; in the balances they go up; they are together lighter than a breath.

The rich and the poor have this in common: the Lord is the maker of them all.

Draw near, O nations, to hear; O peoples, give heed! Let the earth hear, and all that fills it; the world, and all that comes from it.

Hear, you peoples, all of you; listen, O earth, and all that is in it; and let the Lord God be a witness against you, the Lord from his holy temple.
