And he said, Wherefore wilt thou go to him today? it is neither new moon, nor sabbath. And she said, It shall be well.


And David spake to the chief of the Levites to appoint their brethren to be the singers with instruments of music, psalteries and harps and cymbals, sounding, by lifting up the voice with joy.


So the singers, Heman, Asaph, and Ethan, were appointed to sound with cymbals of brass;


And Shebani´ah, and Jehosh´aphat, and Nethan´e-el, and Ama´sai, and Zechari´ah, and Benai´ah, and Eli-e´zer, the priests, did blow with the trumpets before the ark of God: and O´bed–e´dom and Jehi´ah were doorkeepers for the ark.


and with them Heman and Jedu´thun with trumpets and cymbals for those that should make a sound, and with musical instruments of God. And the sons of Jedu´thun were porters.


Benai´ah also and Jaha´zi-el the priests with trumpets continually before the ark of the covenant of God.


Moreover David and the captains of the host separated to the service of the sons of Asaph, and of Heman, and of Jedu´thun, who should prophesy with harps, with psalteries, and with cymbals: and the number of the workmen according to their service was:


And, behold, God himself is with us for our captain, and his priests with sounding trumpets to cry alarm against you. O children of Israel, fight ye not against the Lord God of your fathers; for ye shall not prosper.


And when Judah looked back, behold, the battle was before and behind: and they cried unto the Lord, and the priests sounded with the trumpets.


Behold, I build a house to the name of the Lord my God, to dedicate it to him, and to burn before him sweet incense, and for the continual showbread, and for the burnt offerings morning and evening, on the sabbaths, and on the new moons, and on the solemn feasts of the Lord our God. This is an ordinance for ever to Israel.


also the Levites which were the singers, all of them of Asaph, of Heman, of Jedu´thun, with their sons and their brethren, being arrayed in white linen, having cymbals and psalteries and harps, stood at the east end of the altar, and with them a hundred and twenty priests sounding with trumpets:)


even after a certain rate every day, offering according to the commandment of Moses, on the sabbaths, and on the new moons, and on the solemn feasts, three times in the year, even in the feast of unleavened bread, and in the feast of weeks, and in the feast of tabernacles.


Let them praise his name in the dance: let them sing praises unto him with the timbrel and harp.


Praise the Lord with harp: sing unto him with the psaltery and an instrument of ten strings.


With trumpets and sound of cornet make a joyful noise before the Lord, the King.


And he hath violently taken away his tabernacle, as if it were of a garden; he hath destroyed his places of the assembly: the Lord hath caused the solemn feasts and sabbaths to be forgotten in Zion, and hath despised in the indignation of his anger the king and the priest.


Behold upon the mountains the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace! O Judah, keep thy solemn feasts, perform thy vows: for the wicked shall no more pass through thee; he is utterly cut off.


and will make an offering by fire unto the Lord, a burnt offering, or a sacrifice in performing a vow, or in a freewill offering, or in your solemn feasts, to make a sweet savor unto the Lord, of the herd, or of the flock:


And in the beginnings of your months ye shall offer a burnt offering unto the Lord; two young bullocks, and one ram, seven lambs of the first year without spot;


Seven days shalt thou keep a solemn feast unto the Lord thy God in the place which the Lord shall choose: because the Lord thy God shall bless thee in all thine increase, and in all the works of thine hands, therefore thou shalt surely rejoice.


Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of a holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:
