And enter not into judgment with thy servant: for in thy sight shall no man living be justified.


Thou, even thou, art to be feared: and who may stand in thy sight when once thou art angry?


for the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?


If I sin, then thou markest me, and thou wilt not acquit me from mine iniquity.


But who may abide the day of his coming? and who shall stand when he appeareth? For he is like a refiner's fire, and like fullers' soap:


Who can stand before his indignation? and who can abide in the fierceness of his anger? his fury is poured out like fire, and the rocks are thrown down by him.


All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.


What is man, that he should be clean? and he which is born of a woman, that he should be righteous?


If I justify myself, mine own mouth shall condemn me: if I say, I am perfect, it shall also prove me perverse.


Remember thy servants, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; look not unto the stubbornness of this people, nor to their wickedness, nor to their sin:


O Lord God of Israel, thou art righteous; for we remain yet escaped, as it is this day: behold, we are before thee in our trespasses; for we cannot stand before thee because of this.
