Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will show you things to come.


These things have I spoken unto you, that ye should not be offended.


saying, Did not we straitly command you that ye should not teach in this name? and, behold, ye have filled Jerusalem with your doctrine, and intend to bring this man's blood upon us.


His disciples said unto him, Lo, now speakest thou plainly, and speakest no proverb.


These things have I spoken unto you in proverbs: but the time cometh, when I shall no more speak unto you in proverbs, but I shall show you plainly of the Father.


And he said, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but to others in parables; that seeing they might not see, and hearing they might not understand.


Seeing then that we have such hope, we use great plainness of speech:


Therefore disputed he in the synagogue with the Jews, and with the devout persons, and in the market daily with them that met with him.


The burden of the valley of vision. What aileth thee now, that thou art wholly gone up to the housetops?


let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house:


Therefore, whatsoever ye have spoken in darkness shall be heard in the light; and that which ye have spoken in the ear in closets shall be proclaimed upon the housetops.
