Blessed art thou, O Lord: teach me thy statutes.


I will declare the decree: the Lord hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.


I was dumb, I opened not my mouth; because thou didst it.


He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.


And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.

say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God?


Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.


The Jews answered him, We have a law, and by our law he ought to die, because he made himself the Son of God.


and went again into the judgment hall, and saith unto Jesus, Whence art thou? But Jesus gave him no answer.


The place of the Scripture which he read was this, He was led as a sheep to the slaughter; and like a lamb dumb before his shearer, so opened he not his mouth:


according to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust.


which in his times he shall show, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords;


who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously:
