Yea, thou shalt see thy children's children, and peace upon Israel.


And Joseph saw E´phra-im's children of the third generation: the children also of Machir the son of Manas´seh were brought up upon Joseph's knees.


And unto Joseph in the land of Egypt were born Manas´seh and E´phra-im, which As´enath the daughter of Potiphe´rah priest of On bare unto him.


After this lived Job a hundred and forty years, and saw his sons, and his sons' sons, even four generations.


By faith Jacob, when he was a dying, blessed both the sons of Joseph; and worshipped, leaning upon the top of his staff.


And one told Jacob, and said, Behold, thy son Joseph cometh unto thee: and Israel strengthened himself, and sat upon the bed.


And now thy two sons, E´phra-im and Manas´seh, which were born unto thee in the land of Egypt, before I came unto thee into Egypt, are mine; as Reuben and Simeon, they shall be mine.


For the children of Joseph were two tribes, Manas´seh and E´phra-im: therefore they gave no part unto the Levites in the land, save cities to dwell in, with their suburbs for their cattle and for their substance.


Now Eli´sha was fallen sick of his sickness whereof he died. And Jo´ash the king of Israel came down unto him, and wept over his face, and said, O my father, my father! the chariot of Israel, and the horsemen thereof.


And Eli´sha died, and they buried him. And the bands of the Moabites invaded the land at the coming in of the year.
