But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,


For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Are not even ye in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at his coming?


As I besought thee to abide still at Ephesus, when I went into Macedo´nia, that thou mightest charge some that they teach no other doctrine,


For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed; for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.


The Lord give mercy unto the house of Onesiph´orus; for he oft refreshed me, and was not ashamed of my chain:


but, when he was in Rome, he sought me out very diligently, and found me.


And Tych´icus have I sent to Ephesus.


henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.


For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labor of love, which ye have showed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.


Of which salvation the prophets have inquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you:


Unto the angel of the church of Ephesus write; These things saith he that holdeth the seven stars in his right hand, who walketh in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks.
