11 And the king of Assyria did carry away Israel unto Assyria, and put them in Halah and in Habor by the river of Gozan, and in the cities of the Medes:

11 And the king of the Assyrians took away Israel into Assyria. And he located them in Halah and in Habor, at the rivers of Gozan, in the cities of the Medes.
And the God of Israel stirred up the spirit of Pul king of Assyria, and the spirit of Til´gath–pilne´ser king of Assyria, and he carried them away, even the Reubenites, and the Gadites, and the half tribe of Manas´seh, and brought them unto Halah, and Habor, and Hara, and to the river Gozan, unto this day.
Have the gods of the nations delivered them which my fathers have destroyed, as Gozan, and Haran, and Rezeph, and the children of Eden which were in Telas´sar?
In the ninth year of Hoshe´a the king of Assyria took Samaria, and carried Israel away into Assyria, and placed them in Halah and in Habor by the river of Gozan, and in the cities of the Medes.
Yea, ye took up the tabernacle of Moloch, and the star of your god Remphan, figures which ye made to worship them: and I will carry you away beyond Babylon.
For before the child shall have knowledge to cry, My father, and my mother, the riches of Damascus and the spoil of Samaria shall be taken away before the king of Assyria.
For the head of Syria is Damascus, and the head of Damascus is Rezin; and within threescore and five years shall E´phra-im be broken, that it be not a people.

Yet many years didst thou forbear them, and testifiedst against them by thy Spirit in thy prophets: yet would they not give ear: therefore gavest thou them into the hands of the people of the lands.
