And the saying pleased the whole multitude: and they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Ghost, and Philip, and Proch´orus, and Nica´nor, and Timon, and Par´menas, and Nicolas a proselyte of An´ti-och;


And Stephen, full of faith and power, did great wonders and miracles among the people.


I beseech you, brethren, (ye know the house of Steph´anas, that it is the firstfruits of Achai´a, and that they have addicted themselves to the ministry of the saints,)


and many of the brethren in the Lord, waxing confident by my bonds, are much more bold to speak the word without fear.


but even after that we had suffered before, and were shamefully entreated, as ye know, at Phil´ippi, we were bold in our God to speak unto you the gospel of God with much contention.


These things write I unto thee, hoping to come unto thee shortly:


Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.


For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labor of love, which ye have showed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.
