And now, O our God, what shall we say after this? For we have forsaken Your commandments


You make us turn back from the adversary; yea, the ones hating us plunder for themselves.


Also you have turned back the edge of the sword, and have not raised him up in battle.


I will stand on my guard and set myself on the siege-works, and watch to see what He will say against me, and what I shall return on my rebuke.


And Joshua said, Oh Lord Jehovah, why have You at all caused this people to cross over the Jordan to give us into the hands of the Amorites, to destroy us? And, Oh that we had been willing, and that we had dwelt beyond the Jordan!


And the Canaanites, and all the ones living in the land shall hear, and shall come around against us, and shall cut off our name out of the earth. And what shall You do for Your great name?


And the people came into the camp, and the elders of Israel said, Why has Jehovah stricken us today before the Philistines? Let us take the ark of the covenant of Jehovah to us from Shiloh, and let it come into our midst; and it will save us from the palm of our enemies.
