Then He spoke a parable to them, that one must always pray and not lose heart,


And behold, there was a man in Jerusalem whose name was Simeon, and this man was just and devout, waiting for the Consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was upon him.


And they said, "Cornelius the centurion, a righteous and God-fearing man, having a good reputation among all the nation of the Jews, was given a revelation by a holy angel to send for you to his house, and to hear words from you."


and said, 'Cornelius, your prayer has been heard, and your alms have been remembered before God.


But in every nation, he that fears Him and works righteousness is acceptable to Him.


And looking intently at him and becoming fearful he said, "What is it, lord?"And he said to him, "Your prayers and your alms have ascended as a memorial before God.


Now when the angel who had been speaking to Cornelius had departed, he called two of his household servants and a devout soldier from among those who waited on him continually.


'who will speak words to you by which you and all your household shall be saved.'


And Paul, arising and motioning with his hand, said, "Men, Israelites, and you who fear God, listen:


"Men, brothers, sons of the race of Abraham, and those among you who fear God, to you the message of this salvation has been sent.


But the Jews incited the devout and prominent women and the leading [men] of the city, and raised up a persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and cast them out from their borders.


And Crispus, the ruler of the synagogue, believed in the Lord, together with all his household. And many of the Corinthians, hearing, were believing and were being baptized.


And there were dwelling in Jerusalem Jews, devout men, from every nation of those under heaven.


And Ananias, a certain devout man according to the law, being testified of by all the Jews dwelling in Damascus,


And godly men buried Stephen, and they mourned deeply for him.


And the Lord said to him, "Arise and go to Straight Street, and seek out in the house of Judas a man named Saul, of Tarsus; for behold, he is praying.


Then the churches throughout all Judea, Galilee, and Samaria had peace and were edified, and going in the fear of the Lord and in the encouragement of the Holy Spirit, were multiplying.


Now in Joppa there was a certain disciple named Tabitha, which, translated, means Dorcas. This [woman] was full of good works and charitable giving which she was doing.


Continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant in it with thanksgiving;


If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it shall be given to him.


Who shall not fear You, O Lord, and glorify Your name? For You alone are holy. For all [nations] shall come and worship before You, because Your righteous judgments have been manifested."
