And behold, there are last who shall be first, and there are first who shall be last."


And realizing [this], he came to the house of Mary, the mother of John whose surname was Mark, where a considerable [number] were gathered together and were praying.


And Barnabas and Saul returned to Jerusalem, having fulfilled their ministry, taking along with [them] John also, whose surname was Mark.


But Barnabas desired to take along with them John called Mark.


Therefore a sharp disagreement arose so that they were separated from one another. And Barnabas, taking along Mark, sailed to Cyprus.


Now when he saw the vision, immediately we sought to go out to Macedonia, concluding that the Lord had called us to preach the gospel to them.


Aristarchus my fellow prisoner greets you, with Mark the cousin of Barnabas (about whom you received instructions: if he comes to you, receive him),


Luke the beloved physician greets you, also Demas.


This you know, that all those in Asia have turned away from me, of whom are Phygellus and Hermogenes.


Therefore if anyone cleanses himself from the [latter], he will be a vessel for honor, having been consecrated and useful to the Master, having been prepared for every good work.


[ as do] Mark, Aristarchus, Demas, Luke, my fellow workers.


She who is in Babylon, elect together with you, greets you; and so does Mark my son.
