Clap your hands, all you people.\par Shout with joy to God!\par


The Lord goes up \{to his throne\}\par at the sound of the trumpet and horn.\par


Everything on earth,\par shout with joy to God!\par

May all nations rejoice and be happy!\par Why? Because you judge people fairly.\par And you rule over every nation.\par


Kings on earth, sing to God!\par Sing songs of praise to our Master!\par \i (SELAH {\cf2\super [399]})\i0 \par


His followers remembered God’s loyalty\par to the people of Israel.\par The people in faraway lands saw\par our God’s power to save.\par


Jerusalem, sing and be happy!\par Israel, shout for joy!\par Jerusalem, be happy and have fun!\par


And the Lord will be the King of the whole world at that time. The Lord is One. His name is One.


Jesus was coming close to Jerusalem. He was already near the bottom of the Mount of Olives. {\cf2\super [303]} The whole group of followers were happy. They were very excited and praised God. They thanked God for all the powerful things they had seen.


And the Scriptures {\cf2\super [147]} also say,


“The whole world should be happy for God’s people! {Why? Because he helps them}— he punishes people who kill his servants. He gives his enemies the punishment they deserve. And he makes his land and people pure. [217] ”
