10 “Tell these things to the people of Israel: This rule will be for you and your descendants. [141] Maybe a person is not able to celebrate Passover [142] at the right time. Maybe that person is unclean [143] because he touched a dead body. Or maybe that person was away on a trip.

Many people came together at Jerusalem to celebrate the Festival of Unleavened Bread {\cf2\super [366]} in the second month. It was a very large crowd.


King Hezekiah agreed with all his officials and all the assembly in Jerusalem to have the Passover in the second month.


That person will still be able to celebrate Passover {at another time}. That person must celebrate Passover at twilight [144] on the 14th day of the second month. At that time, he must eat the lamb, the bread made without yeast, and the bitter herbs.


Then the Lord said to Moses,


then leave your gift there at the altar. Go and make peace with that person. Then come and offer your gift.


It was almost time for the Jewish Passover {\cf2\super [186]} festival. Many people from the country went to Jerusalem before the Passover. They went to do the special things to make themselves pure \{for the Passover\}.


Every person should look into his own heart before he eats the bread and drinks the cup.
