Numbers 4:16 - Easy To Read Version

16 “Eleazar son of Aaron the priest will be responsible for the Holy Tent. [63] He will be responsible for the Holy Place [64] and for everything in it. He will be responsible for the oil for the lamp, the sweet-smelling incense, [65] the daily offering, [66] and the anointing oil. [67] ”

They must bring 8 cups [63] of fine flour for a grain offering. (This will be offered at the times of the daily offering.) They must bring half of it in the morning and half of it in the evening.


The leader over the leaders of the Levite people was Eleazar son of Aaron the priest. Eleazar was in charge of all the people that took care of the holy things.


The Lord said to Moses and Aaron,


“The Spirit of the Lord (God) has come to me.\par God chose me to tell good news to people\par that are poor.\par God sent me to tell people who are\par prisoners that they are free,\par and to tell the blind people\par that they can see again.\par God sent me to free the weak people\par from their suffering\par


Be careful for yourselves and for all the people that God has given you. The Holy Spirit {\cf2\super [406]} gave you the work of caring for this flock. {\cf2\super [407]} You must be like shepherds to the church (people) of God. {\cf2\super [408]} This is the church that God bought with his own blood. {\cf2\super [409]}


This is what people should think about us: We are servants of Christ. We are the people that God has trusted with his secret truths.


There is only one God. And there is only one way that people can reach God. That way is through Jesus Christ, who is also a man.


So all of you should think about Jesus. God sent Jesus to us, and he is the high priest {\cf2\super [15]} of our faith. I tell you to think about him, my brothers and sisters, because God chose you to be his holy {\cf2\super [16]} people.


But Christ is faithful in ruling God’s house like a Son. We \{believers\} are God’s house (family). We are God’s house if we continue to be sure and proud of the great hope we have.


You were like sheep that went the wrong way. But now you have come back to the Shepherd and Protector of your lives.


take care of the group of people that you are responsible for. They are God’s flock. {\cf2\super [31]} Watch over that flock because you want to, not because you are forced to do it. That is how God wants it. Do it because you are happy to serve, not because you want money.
