Then Jesus began to teach his followers that the Son of Man {\cf2\super [101]} must suffer many things. Jesus taught that the Son of Man would not be accepted by the older Jewish leaders, the leading priests, and the teachers of the law. Jesus taught that the Son of Man must be killed and then rise from death after three days.
The leading priests and the teachers of the law saw what Jesus did. They saw that Jesus was doing great things and saw the children praising Jesus in the temple area. The children were saying, “Praise {\cf2\super [290]} to the Son of David. {\cf2\super [291]} ” All these things made the priests and the teachers of the law angry.
