While these followers watched him, Jesus was changed. His face became bright like the sun. And his clothes became white as light.


Jesus told Peter and the two sons of Zebedee to come with him. Then Jesus began to be very sad and troubled.


Later, Jesus was sitting at a place on the Mount of Olives. {\cf2\super [181]} He was alone with Peter, James, John, and Andrew. They could all see the temple. Those followers asked Jesus,


Jesus let only Peter, James, and John the brother of James go with him.


Jesus went to the house. Jesus let only Peter, John, James, and the girl’s father and mother go inside with him. Jesus did not let any other person go inside.


I will come to you again. This will be the third time. And remember, “For every complaint there must be two or three people to say that they know it is true.” {\cf2\super [48]}


We told you about the power of our Lord Jesus Christ. We told you about his coming. Those things we told you were not just smart stories that people invented. No! We saw the greatness of Jesus with our own eyes.


And we heard that voice. It came from heaven while we were with Jesus on the holy mountain.
