Later, Jesus was away from the people. The twelve apostles {\cf2\super [51]} and Jesus’ other followers asked him about the stories.


“So listen to the meaning of that story about the farmer.


The followers came to Jesus and asked, “Why do you use these stories to teach the people?”


I don’t call you servants now. A servant does not know what his master is doing. But now I call you friends because I have told you everything I heard from my Father.


Jesus always used stories to teach the people. But when Jesus and his followers were alone together, Jesus explained everything to them.


Peter said, “Explain to us what you said earlier to the people.”


Then Jesus left the people and went into the house. His followers came to him and said, “Explain to us the meaning of the story about the weeds in the field.”


Let’s learn about the Lord.\par Let’s try very hard to know the Lord.\par We know he is coming,\par like we know the dawn is coming.\par The Lord will come to us like the rain,\par like the spring rain that waters the ground.”\par
